Photoshop can be daunting when you first start using the program. There's SO many things you can do in it, that you can start to feel overwhelmed. I'm constantly learning new things in the program BUT one of my favourite things, and one of my commonly used tricks, is creating a gold foil text for my designs. Without further adieu, here's my 3 easy steps! 1. You're going to start by inserting a gold foil gradient that you have downloaded on your computer. I used a free one from Vecteezy.
2. Then you're going to type your text over top of your gradient. (You may choose to avoid the white part of the gradient with your text if your finished product is going to be on a white background)
Now you want to change your layers so that your gradient is in front of your text.
3.
With your cursor, you're going to hover the hand on the line between the 2 layers.
Press Alt, your cursor should change to a little picture of 2 circles overlapping, and click. (Alt + click)
Voila! Your text should now have a gold foil effect!
